Project: Extension and Renovation
Architect: Sam Crawford Architects
Set in a heritage listed area, this single storey home is set on a sloping block and the architectural design was to create an extension that achieves a connection with the garden and surrounds. This includes generously-scalled bay windows and a new outdoor living room. The use of recycled materials integrated throughout and the view-framing used on the windows helps create a tree-house feel inside the home.
In May 2017, this home won the Ku-ring-gai Architecture and Urban Design Award - "Dwelling winner" which can be viewed by clicking Dwelling Winner.
